IASA Chapter Model
IASA CHAPTERS AND COUNTRY AFFILIATES
A chapter is a branch of the IASA in a country or city which provides guidance, leadership and services to the local professional body. Chapters operate with a minimum number of officers and hold a minimum number of meetings each year, according to IASA chapter standards. Chapters also provide reports to IASA Headquarters regarding membership, finances and operational plans.

Chapter activities include:
Serve the community: promote the profession of IT Architecture in community organizations and publications
Promote member interaction: encourage the exchange of ideas among members
Provide training: on IT Architecture topics and the Common Body of Knowledge
Provide leadership opportunities: for members to enhance their career

Once an international chapter is chartered, it may eventually evolve to a country affiliate. The fully-functioning country affiliate is the primary source of ideas, services, and regulation of the country’s architecture profession and performs governance of all IASA chapters within that country. An IASA country affiliate may represent and provide for the needs of thousands of professional and aspiring architects and in addition, work with many of corporate partners in different cities. Country affiliates are the center of IT architecture in that country as well as the connection between its chapters, members and the global professional body through IASA Headquarters.

Country Affiliate activities include:
Advocacy initiatives: guiding industry in the needs and capabilities of IT architects
Education and mentoring: bring together experts to guide the next wave of professionals
Events and seminars: drive the pace of communication and innovation in the country
Certification and training: architects certify according to IASA’s global curriculum
Corporate and vendor partnerships: businesses based in your country need a constant feedback loop with the architecture community
